Following the blockbuster success of Kantara: Chapter 1, actor-director Rishab Shetty visited Mysuru to seek blessings at two revered temples — Goddess Chamundeshwari Temple and the Shrikanteshwara Temple. Known for his spiritual grounding and humility, Shetty made this pilgrimage to express gratitude for what he calls divine guidance throughout his cinematic journey.

Released worldwide on October 2, 2025, Kantara: Chapter 1 has emerged as one of the year’s biggest hits, grossing nearly ₹700 crore globally. Riding high on this incredible response, Shetty plans to continue his spiritual journey with upcoming visits to Varanasi and the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Set in the 4th Century AD, Kantara: Chapter 1 delves into the mythological origins of the sacred land of Kantara. Deeply rooted in Indian folklore, the film explores divine interventions, ancient traditions, and mankind’s enduring relationship with nature. With Rishab Shetty in the lead, the film also stars Sapthami Gowda, Gulshan Devaiah, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and a talented ensemble cast.

Recently, Shetty shared behind-the-scenes images from the film’s intense climax shoot, revealing his swollen, painted feet — a result of physically demanding scenes. “A swollen leg, an exhausted body… but today, the climax is admired by millions,” he wrote, acknowledging the fans and attributing the film’s success to divine blessings.

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films, the film features stunning cinematography by Arvind S. Kashyap and a powerful score by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. Kantara: Chapter 1 stands as a testament to the power of belief, culture, and storytelling, capturing the hearts of audiences across the world.
