Is Joe Jonas Telling the Truth About Not Using Cocaine? The Facts Are In!

The Cocaine Controversy Surrounding Joe Jonas: What's Really Going On?

Joe Jonas is clearing the air after a backstage video from a recent Jonas Brothers concert sparked speculation online. The clip, which quickly went viral, shows the 36-year-old singer rubbing his nose with a black cloth, checking his reflection in a mirror, and appearing to clean his face. Some fans speculated that he might have been using cocaine during the JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour a rumour Jonas is now addressing head-on.

In a new interview with Esquire, Jonas dismissed the claims unequivocally. “I’ve never touched cocaine in my life. But if I did, I think I’d be a little slicker about it than doing it onstage,” he joked, referencing the viral footage. The singer had previously responded to the online chatter with humour, replying to a fan’s post of the video with, “Lol you never had a booger?” lightheartedly deflating the rumour mill.

Beyond the controversy, Jonas opened up about his personal life, including how he’s navigating the post-divorce landscape. He and actress Sophie Turner finalised their divorce in September 2024 after months of speculation and public interest. The couple, who married in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony in May 2019, share two daughters — Willa, born in 2020, and Delphine, born in 2022.

Jonas reflected on the challenges of balancing a demanding tour schedule with his personal life. “Five shows in a row doesn’t make it easy to meet someone for coffee,” he said. Although he’s not on any dating apps, he admitted he occasionally connects with people via Instagram and TikTok.

Describing himself as “extremely online,” Jonas acknowledged that social media often gives him a front-row seat to the public’s opinions about his life. While the constant attention can be overwhelming, he seems to be handling it with a mix of humour and self-awareness.

As for the Jonas Brothers, they are currently on a global tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their band. The JONAS20 tour has been a nostalgic and high-energy experience for fans, with sold-out arenas and a setlist spanning their two-decade career.

Through it all, Jonas is staying focused, choosing to laugh off the rumours and embrace the whirlwind of life on the road — boogers, breakups, and all.
