Shah Rukh Khan's Big 'King' Announcement Is This the End of the Wait

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has once again set the internet abuzz with his trademark wit and charm during his latest #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter). The 59-year-old actor, who is reportedly gearing up for his much-anticipated film King, responded to fans’ questions with humor, mystery, and a touch of mischief—leaving everyone guessing about the project’s true details.

King has been one of the most talked-about films since its announcement two years ago. With Siddharth Anand at the helm and an ensemble cast featuring Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Arshad Warsi, and Jackie Shroff, expectations are sky-high. However, secrecy surrounding the project has fueled endless speculation, making even minor updates a major event among fans.

During the #AskSRK session, one fan eagerly asked, “King teaser DM (direct message) karo sir,” hoping for a sneak peek. In his trademark style, Shah Rukh quipped, “Abhi Title toh announce kiya nahi officially… tum Teaser par kaise pahunch gaye!!!” His witty reply confirmed that the film’s official title is yet to be announced, despite the widespread assumption that it is called King.

As fans continued to press for details, SRK playfully tagged director Siddharth Anand, writing, “Hmmmm??? @justSidAnand sun rahe ho bhai. Bol doon…?” Anand, keeping the suspense alive, responded, “@iamsrk you know what they say sir — a King arrives when he wants to, not when he’s supposed to. #KING.” The cryptic exchange sent fans into a frenzy, with many interpreting it as a clever confirmation of the title.

Not one to let things rest, Shah Rukh continued the banter by teasing Anand for his evasive answers. “You have become more and more like me. Giving cryptic answers to straightforward questions. Theek hai Boss, as and when…whatever….and whenever u want to. Fans!!! Go after him….Humla!!! At least the Title Reveal… just that much please,” he joked, encouraging fans to pester the director for an official announcement.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh was last seen in a cameo role in his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, the Netflix web series The Ba**ds of Bollywood. With King, he is set to return to the big screen, marking his first on-screen collaboration with daughter Suhana Khan. The action-packed film, produced by Siddharth Anand and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, is expected to release next year.
