Bollywood mourns the loss of a legend as Dharmendra, one of Indian cinema’s most beloved icons, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89.
His death marks the end of an era — a final bow from an actor whose career spanned six decades and whose films left an indelible mark on generations of audiences.
In memory of his extraordinary legacy, a heartfelt prayer meet titled “Celebration of Life” was held on Thursday, November 27, at a five-star hotel in Bandra, Mumbai. Family members, close friends, and several of Bollywood’s luminaries gathered between 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm to pay their respects.
Grief-stricken yet composed, his sons — including Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol — along with other family members welcomed guests and mourners arriving to honour the late actor. The venue was adorned with large photographs of Dharmendra spanning decades — a tribute to his charisma, versatility, and timeless stardom.
Prominent industry figures such as Sidharth Malhotra, Jackie Shroff, Malaika Arora, and her son Arhaan Khan were among those who came to offer their condolences. A musical tribute added emotional weight to the gathering — a collective salute to a life spent in devotion to cinema and fans.
