Varun Dhawan Drops Ghar Kab Aaoge Stills From Border 2

Varun Dhawan drops emotional Ghar Kab Aaoge stills from Border 2 and reveals how Sunny Deol’s powerful “Lahore tak” dialogue made it to the film.

The buzz surrounding Border 2 has reached fever pitch, and fans can hardly contain their excitement. Featuring a stellar cast led by Varun Dhawan, Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, the much-awaited sequel to the iconic war drama is already making headlines ahead of its theatrical release on January 23, 2026. The anticipation soared even higher after Varun Dhawan dropped new stills from the emotionally charged song Ghar Kab Aaoge.

Taking to Instagram, Varun shared a series of captivating photos from the song, which is being launched today in the historic desert city of Jaisalmer. Soon after, the actor was spotted at the airport, sparking speculation about massive promotions lined up for the film. Fans flooded the comment section with excitement, calling the track “the sweetest song to start the year” and declaring their eagerness for the film’s release.

But it’s not just the visuals or music that have caught attention. Varun Dhawan recently opened up about a powerful behind-the-scenes moment that perfectly reflects the authenticity Border 2 strives to deliver. While shooting at a military academy, the film’s unit witnessed a senior officer motivating cadets with a thunderous war cry. The officer asked, “Awaaz kahan tak jaani chaahiye?” and answered with, “Lahore tak!”—a moment that left Varun deeply moved.

Realizing the raw intensity of the line, Varun felt it deserved a place in the film. Since it wasn’t part of the original script, he turned to Sunny Deol for support. Quietly urging Sunny to deliver the line, Varun described it as a “big, real moment.” Sunny agreed—and what followed was cinematic magic. Varun later shared that when Sunny delivered the dialogue, it gave him instant goosebumps, with a voice so powerful it felt like it truly could reach Lahore.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 boasts a strong ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.

With soul-stirring music, real-life inspired moments, and unapologetic patriotism, Border 2 promises to be a grand cinematic tribute to courage and sacrifice when it storms theatres on January 23, 2026.
