The teaser of Aakhri Sawal, starring Sanjay Dutt, has been released shortly after the film was officially announced. The makers chose to launch the teaser on the occasion of Hanuman Ji Janmotsav. The video gives a simple idea of what the film is about. It focuses on questions related to truth, history, and how the younger generation looks at these subjects.
The story is about a student named Vicky, who is shown as intelligent and curious. He questions his teacher, Professor Gopal Nadkarni, after his thesis is rejected. What begins as a personal academic issue slowly becomes much bigger. It grows into a public debate that attracts attention from across the country. As the story moves forward, it develops into a strong conflict between the student and the teacher, showing a Guru and Shishya face off.
Earlier, the makers had released the first look poster along with the film’s release date. The poster shows Sanjay Dutt with a serious expression, placed inside a large question mark. The design uses dark tones and fire like visuals, which create a tense and serious mood. The tagline on the poster reads, “The Question India Never Stopped Asking,” which reflects the main theme of the film.
The film is produced by Nikhil Nanda, Dhanraj Nathwani, and Sanjay Dutt. It is backed by Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures and Neem Tree Entertainment. Along with Sanjay Dutt, the film also stars Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Sameera Reddy, Tridha Choudhury, and Neetu Chandra in key roles. The film is set to release in cinemas on May 15, 2026.
