Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is a lighthearted situational comedy that thrives on misunderstandings, lies and nonstop chaos. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film follows Prajapati Pandey, played by Ayushmann Khurrana, whose peaceful married life turns upside down after he pretends to be the boyfriend of Chanchal Kumari, played by Sara Ali Khan, to help her escape family and political pressure. What starts as a small lie soon becomes a giant mess involving police trouble, suspicion and awkward situations.
The film delivers some genuinely funny moments, especially during scenes where characters struggle to hide the truth from one another. Ayushmann Khurrana keeps the film engaging with his comic timing and natural performance. Ayesha Raza Mishra also stands out with her entertaining role in the second half.
However, the screenplay often becomes too loud and dramatic. Some jokes involving caste and religion feel unnecessary and outdated, making certain scenes uncomfortable instead of funny. The film also relies heavily on old Bollywood songs to create nostalgia.
Despite its flaws, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do works as a fast paced commercial entertainer for audiences who enjoy confusion filled comedies and relationship dramas. It may not offer anything new, but it delivers enough laughs and filmi chaos for a decent theatrical watch.
