Drishyam 3 Review: Emotional Drama Meets Psychological Thriller

Drishyam 3 brings back Georgekutty in an emotional thriller filled with revenge, family pressure, suspense and powerful final moments.

Drishyam 3 continues the story of Georgekutty with a more emotional and psychological approach instead of depending only on shocking twists. Directed around the emotional burden carried by the family, the film shows how the past continues to haunt Georgekutty and those around him even after several years.

Mohanlal once again delivers a controlled and impressive performance as Georgekutty. This time, the character appears more tired, fearful, and emotionally broken while still trying to protect his family at any cost. The story gains momentum slowly, but the layered tension and suspense gradually build up and keep viewers engaged till the end.

The revenge plot involving Varun’s parents and suspended officer Sahadevan adds intensity to the narrative. Kalabhavan Shajohn performs strongly as Sahadevan and brings genuine menace to the screen, while Siddique stands out as Prabhakar with a calm but dangerous presence. Asha Sharath also leaves an impact despite limited screen time.

What makes the film work is its focus on guilt, fear, and the mental pressure of hiding a crime for years. The final scenes especially leave a strong emotional effect, with Georgekutty finally admitting that even he fears how far he can go to save his loved ones. While the first half feels slightly stretched in places, the climax and performances make the film an engaging watch for fans of the franchise.
