Raakh Trailer Offers A Disturbing Look Into Human Darkness

Raakh follows the investigation into the disappearance and murder of two teenagers, leading police into a dark and disturbing criminal case.

The trailer of Raakh has been released, giving viewers an early look at the upcoming investigative drama that focuses on a shocking crime and the search for those responsible. Prime Video unveiled the trailer on June 1, 2026, and also confirmed that the series will begin streaming on June 12.

Featuring Sonali Bendre, Ali Fazal and Aamir Bashir in lead roles, Raakh is a crime thriller built around the disappearance of two teenagers. What begins as a missing persons case soon develops into a much larger and more disturbing investigation. With no immediate clues available, the sudden disappearance leaves a family devastated and creates concern across the city.

As authorities begin searching for answers, fear and uncertainty spread among local residents. A determined police officer takes charge of the investigation and starts tracking every possible lead. His search eventually expands beyond the city, taking him across different parts of the country as he works to uncover the truth behind the crime.

The story is set in Delhi in 1978, a period when crimes of this nature were rare and deeply unsettling. As the investigation progresses, the officer finds himself confronting a world filled with violence, emotional trauma and disturbing human behaviour. The case forces him to look beyond the evidence and understand the mindset of the people involved.

According to the makers, Raakh is not only a crime investigation series but also a psychological drama that explores the darker side of human nature. Along with focusing on the police investigation, the show examines the emotional impact of the crime on families and the wider community affected by the tragedy.

The series has been directed and executive produced by Prosit Roy. It has been created, written and co directed by Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket. The dialogues have been written by Ayush Trivedi.

Raakh is produced by Deepak Dhar, Rishi Negi, Mrinalini Jain and Shyam Rathi under the banner of Endemol Shine India in association with BhaDiPa.

With its focus on crime, loss and the pursuit of justice, the series aims to present a detailed investigation while exploring the emotional and psychological consequences of a tragic event. Raakh will be available for streaming on Prime Video in India from June 12.
