Actress and reality TV star Shefali Jariwala, better known as the “Kaanta Laga Girl,” died late Friday night at 42. Her untimely death has left shockwaves in the entertainment industry and her fans across the nation devastated.

Parag Tyagi Breaks Silence Without Words
On Saturday, Shefali’s husband, actor Parag Tyagi, was seen in public for the first time since her death. Visibly devastated, he was spotted walking their pet dog, Simba, near their Mumbai residence. In a video now circulating online, Parag appears to be carrying a photograph of Shefali, while police vans were stationed nearby. He avoided engaging with the media and kept a somber, low profile.

The Last Hours: A Tragic Timeline
Preliminary reports indicate that Shefali had a cardiac arrest all of a sudden sometime between the night of June 27 and early June 28. Parag Tyagi and three close friends took her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital at about 10:30 PM on Friday evening. Doctors certified her brought dead. Mumbai Police later established she was brought unresponsive from her Andheri home. Though cardiac arrest was suspected, the formal cause of death hangs in the balance pending post-mortem reports, while the family is yet to make an official statement.

Society Guard Recounts the Night
Shatrughan, the security guard at Shefali’s apartment complex, told NDTV that Parag arrived home around 9 PM. “Everything seemed normal. They took her to the hospital about an hour later. Police and forensic teams came soon after and stayed all night,” he said.

A Career and Legacy Remembered
Shefali became an overnight star in the early 2000s with her fearless performance in the chartbuster music video Kaanta Laga. She went on to appear in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and gained renewed popularity through reality shows such as Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13. Her untimely death is a profound and sore loss to Indian entertainment.
