Netflix has released the full trailer for its upcoming adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, bringing Jane Austen’s famous love story back to the screen. Emma Corrin plays Elizabeth Bennet, while Jack Lowden takes on the role of Mr Darcy. Based on Austen’s classic 1813 novel, the six part romantic drama is directed by Euros Lyn and written by Dolly Alderton. The series will premiere on Netflix on December 3, 2026.
Pride and Prejudice trailer offers a glimpse of Elizabeth and Darcy’s romance
The 2-minute and 33-second trailer introduces the relationship between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy, whose first impressions of each other gradually develop into a complicated romance.
Sharing the trailer on X, Netflix wrote, “It is a truth universally acknowledged…Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden star in Pride and Prejudice, a series by Dolly Alderton. Premieres December 3.”
The streaming platform had previously released a 54-second teaser on February 25. It showed Elizabeth watching the sunset from a rooftop before the sound of galloping horses caught her attention. She then blushed as Mr Darcy arrived on horseback.
The latest trailer has prompted viewers to share their reactions online. One YouTube user commented, “They could make 50 adaptations of this, I’d watch them all.”
Another viewer welcomed the decision to tell the story through a series rather than a film, writing, “I’m so happy this is a series, not a movie! Trying to cover the entire story in one movie leaves out so much good stuff.”
