In a surprise development, Alia Bhatt’s former personal assistant Vedika Prakash Shetty has been arrested by Juhu Police on charges of cheating the actress of more than ₹76 lakh. Shetty allegedly used false documents and fraudulent bills to withdraw money from Alia’s personal accounts and her production company Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt Ltd.
Complaint Filed by Soni Razdan
The case was initiated after Soni Razdan, Alia’s mother, filed a formal complaint earlier this year. Police investigations indicate that Shetty misappropriated funds by filing fake bills and fake claims. The fraud activities involved personal expenses as well as production-related transactions. The investigation is currently in process, and till date, Alia Bhatt or her team never made any public statement on the matter.
