Aly Goni Slams Trolls with Powerful Warning After Receiving Death Threats Over ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ Video

Aly Goni Gets Death Threats for Not Chanting 'Ganpati Bappa Morya', Warns Trolls: 'Himmat Hai Toh Mere Saamne...'

Television actor Aly Goni has found himself at the center of a social media storm after a video of him not chanting “Ganpati Bappa Morya” during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations went viral. The clip, which shows Aly remaining silent during the chants, led to massive backlash and even death threats directed at the actor.

“Getting Death Threats Nonstop,” Says Aly

In a recent interview with Filmygyan, Aly opened up about the hateful messages he has been receiving since the video surfaced. “Mujhe death threats aa rahe hain bhar-bhar ke. Mere emails bhare hue hain, mere comments bhare hue hain,” he said. Aly also noted that people are even demanding FIRs be filed against him, which he finds completely unjustified.

He explained, “Main toh Musalman hoon, isliye mere par daala gaya, par kai Hindu hain jo Ganpati nahi laate hain, kya woh Hindu nahi hain?” (I am a Muslim, so this has been directed at me, but there are many Hindus who don’t bring Ganpati—does that mean they aren’t Hindu?)

Warns Trolls Not to Involve Jasmine or Family

Aly also issued a strong warning to those attacking his girlfriend Jasmine Bhasin or his family. “Ye jo dhamki dene wale hain ya jo Jasmin ko gali dene wale hain, inme se ek mein bhi himmat hai toh mere saamne aakar bole,” he said, adding, “Meri maa, behen ya Jasmine ke baare mein koi bolega toh I will not tolerate.”

His emotional outburst underscores the distress such personal attacks can cause, especially when directed at loved ones.

Clarifies His Side of the Story

The Bigg Boss alum explained that it was his first time attending a Ganpati celebration and that he unintentionally remained silent during the chants. He further stated that, as per his religion, he is not permitted to participate in religious practices outside of offering namaz. “Main lost ho gaya tha, bas. Galti nahi thi,” he said.

On the Work Front

Professionally, Aly Goni was last seen in Laughter Chefs Season 2, a reality cooking show hosted by Harpal Singh Sokhi and Bharti Singh. The show wrapped up in July, with Elvish Yadav and Karan Kundrra taking the winner’s title. Aly, along with his partner Reem Shaikh, finished as the runner-up.

Conclusion

Despite the backlash, Aly Goni stands firm in his beliefs and continues to call out hate while defending his personal and religious boundaries.
