Director Karthik Gattamneni’s action-packed fantasy film Mirai has made a thunderous entry at the box office, collecting over ₹100 crore within just five days of release. Starring Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, and Shriya Saran, the film has quickly become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. The team recently celebrated the milestone with a special event in Hyderabad.
Teja Sajja Speaks Out Against Piracy
At the success event, lead star Teja Sajja addressed growing concerns over piracy. He revealed that there had been several attempts to upload the film on platforms like Instagram and YouTube, urging fans to experience the film in cinemas instead.
“This film is made for the big screen. Watching it on a mobile or television doesn’t give you the same impact. I trust the audience to support cinema and avoid piracy,” he said.
Teja also thanked the film’s producer Vishwa Prasad and the distributors for keeping ticket prices affordable, making it easier for families to enjoy the film during the holiday season.
Mirai: A Blend of Mythology and Superhero Action
Mirai follows the journey of Vedha (Teja Sajja), a young man chosen to protect the nine sacred scriptures of Emperor Ashoka. His mission? To stop the dark sorcerer Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj), who seeks the scriptures’ power to rule the world. With its rich blend of mythology, visual effects, and superhero elements, the film offers a grand cinematic experience.
Teja Sajja on Landing the Role
Before the release, Teja shared how he was cast in Mirai, revealing that director Karthik Gattamneni challenged him with the project’s demands.
“He wanted to test my dedication. I assured him I was ready to give it my all,” said Teja.
