Singer-songwriter Joe Jonas has finally broken his silence about his separation from actress Sophie Turner, offering heartfelt reflections on how he navigated the emotional aftermath and adapted to co-parenting their two daughters, Willa (5) and Delphine (3). The couple, who married in 2019, finalized their divorce in 2023 after four years together.
In a candid interview with Esquire, Joe spoke about the challenges of divorce and the importance of leaning on loved ones during difficult times. “Divorce is tough. It’s not easy for anybody. People are so quick to make assumptions. I’m just grateful that I have my brothers, Kevin and Nick, and an amazing circle of family and friends,” he said. Joe added that performing helped him heal, giving him a renewed sense of purpose. “People go through so much, and if I can help them forget their problems for a couple of hours during a concert, it gives me meaning.”
Reflecting on co-parenting, the Jonas Brothers star expressed deep respect for his ex-wife and their shared commitment to their children. “Two years later, I can say I have a good relationship with my co-parent, Sophie. You realize you do everything for your kids. I’ll do anything for them — there’s a lot to navigate, but that’s what matters most,” he shared.
Joe filed for divorce in Miami in September 2023, and the pair later released a joint statement describing the decision as mutual and amicable. Sophie Turner later told Harper’s Bazaar in 2024 that the split was “incredibly sad” but acknowledged that they “had a beautiful relationship.”
Since the separation, Turner has been linked to British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. The two have been spotted together at several public events, including Fashion Week and polo tournaments, and celebrated Pearson’s 30th birthday together in July 2025.
