The speculation gained momentum after Dhanush was spotted at the premiere of Mrunal’s latest film, Son Of Sardaar 2. Earlier, Mrunal attended the wrap party of Dhanush’s upcoming Hindi film Tere Ishq Mein. Adding to the buzz, a Reddit user recently claimed that the duo shares a joint Spotify playlist — a detail fans believe is more intimate than coincidental.
According to a report by News18 Showsha, a source close to the pair confirmed the relationship but clarified that it’s still in its early stages. “Yes, it’s true that they are dating. But it’s too new, and they don’t want to make it public yet. However, they’re not hiding either,” said the insider. Friends of the duo reportedly believe they are highly compatible in terms of values and outlook.

Mrunal’s growing presence in South Indian cinema is said to have played a role in bringing her closer to Dhanush. Constantly travelling between Mumbai and Hyderabad for work, she met Dhanush at a South industry event, where their friendship began and eventually turned into something more.
