From Mannat to Netflix: Shah Rukh Khan’s Pride Shines Bright as Aryan Khan’s The Bads of Bollywood Debuts – Exclusive!”

Shah Rukh Khan Thanks Fans for Shower of Love on Aryan Khan's Directorial Debut - See the Adorable Pics!

Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has expressed heartfelt gratitude to fans for the overwhelming support his son Aryan Khan has received for his much-talked-about directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*. The edgy new series, which offers a satirical and unfiltered look at the inner workings of the film industry, released on Netflix on September 18 and has since been met with both critical acclaim and audience appreciation.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Shah Rukh shared photos of fans celebrating the show with posters featuring both him and Aryan. In his post, he wrote, “Thank u team for the love and cheers. Hope you guys finished watching the show… at least a few times. Ha ha.” The post was a response to a fan club that posted images of viewers organizing celebrations in tribute to the show’s success.

At the launch event of the series, Shah Rukh offered a glimpse into his initial reaction to Aryan’s bold concept. “When Aryan told me he was going to make a show on Bollywood, that it would be raw, edgy, and would have some madness to it,” he said with a laugh, “I thought, ‘Is he going to share the CCTV footage of Mannat on YouTube?’” He went on to admit that it took him some time to catch the tone of the show, but once he did, he was deeply impressed. “Honestly, I’m really, really happy about it,” he added.

The Ba**ds of Bollywood* has sparked considerable buzz for its sharp storytelling and refusal to sugarcoat the chaos behind the glamour of the industry. The series steers away from star-driven casting and instead relies on strong performances from a handpicked ensemble. Critics have especially praised Manish Chaudhari as Freddy, Bobby Deol as Ajay, and Raghav Juyal as Parvaiz — each bringing depth and authenticity to their roles.

In its review, Hindustan Times noted: “What works in Ba***ds’ favour is that these spicy gossip and anecdotes are not simply peppered in the show for fun. There is a woven narrative that has some semblance and cohesion, even if not much.” The review commended the show’s solid performances, which elevate it from simply satirical to genuinely engaging.

With Aryan Khan’s directorial debut generating serious attention, and Shah Rukh’s heartfelt endorsement adding emotional weight, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about Indian web series of the year.
