To celebrate Ranveer Singh’s birthday, Jio Studios and B62 Studios dropped the fire first look of Dhurandhar, a high-octane action-thriller helmed by Aditya Dhar of Uri: The Surgical Strike fame. The movie is releasing in theaters globally on December 5, 2025.
High-Octane Teaser and Star-Studded Cast
The 2-minute, 40-second teaser of the movie presents gritty visuals, layered tension, and hard-hitting action, with Ranveer Singh in a tough, authoritative avatar. He heads an impressive cast featuring Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. The impact of the teaser is amplified by a pulsating original score by Shashwat, complemented by powerful vocals by Jasmine Sandlas and a fiery rap verse by Hanumankind.
Aditya Dhar’s Vision Returns
Dhurandhar finds Aditya Dhar playing director, writer, and producer in this one, once again venturing into the unsung heroes and covert operations genre. Coproduced by Lokesh Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Jio Studios, the movie is termed “the untold saga of the unknown men”, suggesting hidden patriotism and deep-rooted heroism à la Uri.
Ranveer Singh: From Debutant to Powerhouse
Ranveer Singh’s impressive debut in Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, he shifted successfully from advertising to film. His work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali produced the successes Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat. He received recognition for Gully Boy (2019) as well and had box office hits with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
