TV queen Ekta Kapoor delighted fans at the weekend by bringing together two of Indian television’s most recognizable faces Hina Khan and Urvashi Dholakia, who both essayed iconic villain Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The lighthearted interaction was caught in a viral Instagram reel that took fans back in time.

“Ek Nahi, Do Komolika!”: A Throwback Moment

The reel, posted on Sunday, starts with Ekta playfully taunting the audience: “Ek nahi, do Komolika!” as the camera pans out to show both Hina and Urvashi looking glam to the core, complete with the familiar Komolika theme music. The video was captioned in a humorous manner by Ekta: “Ek reeel ke price mein do do! Directed by (badly), @4umehra.”

The audience was quick to fill the comments with laughter, love, and nostalgia. Urvashi Dholakia replied with red heart emojis, while others were calling for Kasautii Zindagii Kay 3, saying, “Bring KZK 3 with a new Komolika!”

Hina Khan Talks About Taking Over Komolika’s Role

While the reel was all show and tell, Hina Khan has spoken about her own struggles with having to play such a popular villain. In an interview to SCREEN, she shared, “I wasn’t sure about playing Komolika. Urvashi had already aced it. I was scared of not being able to meet up to that standard.”

It was Ekta Kapoor’s faith in her that made her change her mind. “She told me, ‘You are my Komolika.’ That trust gave me the guts to do it,” Hina said.

A Timeless TV Villain Lives On

This light-hearted reunion marks the timelessness of Komolika’s popularity, showing that iconic characters — and the actresses who portray them never fade from fashion on Indian television.
