Actor Karishma Sharma, known for her roles in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Ragini MMS Returns, is currently recovering from a traumatic incident after she reportedly jumped out of a moving train. The 31-year-old has been discharged from the hospital and is now recuperating at home in Mumbai with the support of her mother.
“I Have a Disturbing Memory Lapse”
Speaking about the incident, Karishma revealed she has suffered multiple physical injuries and a temporary memory loss. “I have a disturbing memory lapse. My head feels heavy, there’s still a lot of pain, and I’ve been experiencing disorientation,” she shared. Doctors have advised her to monitor her condition closely, warning that some internal injuries might take time to manifest.
Terrifying Ordeal With No Clear Trigger
Recounting what little she remembers, Karishma said, “I just remember I was on the train, waiting for my friends and team. The next thing I know, I’m at a railway station medical spot, throwing up six or seven times. I couldn’t even stand straight they got me a wheelchair and took me to the car.” She was eventually taken to Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri for further treatment.
Despite speculation, she clarified that the jump was not intentional. “I don’t know what triggered me. I just jumped and I have zero memory of it.” She added that a lady constable and another woman helped her and rushed her to the station clinic before she was moved to the hospital.
“Trains Brought Happy Memories, Now They Scare Me”
The incident has left Karishma mentally shaken. “I don’t think I can go near a train station anytime soon. Such a happy memory has been tarnished,” she said, recalling how she used to enjoy train travel during her childhood between Patna and Mumbai.
Impact on Professional Life
Karishma admitted that the incident has put her professional commitments in jeopardy. “I was going to shoot personal content in Colaba, and now I’ve become the content. I have shoots lined up but my body is not in condition the headaches are really bad.” Reflecting on her work, she said, “As an actor, you can’t put someone else in for patchwork or continuity. But I hope my team can understand.”
