The big teaser release happened across nine Indian cities and created a dazzling splash in New York’s Times Square, showcasing the film’s global reach and cultural importance.
A Timeless Tale of Good vs Evil
Part of a mythological age ruled by the cosmic trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, Ramayana reimagines the age-old struggle between virtue and darkness. The narrative follows the evolution of Ravana, a wrongly interpreted child demon, into an instrument of terror to universal equilibrium. To attain balance, Vishnu becomes incarnate as Rama, initiating an epic duel. The teaser presents a gripping look at this celestial epic, with the promise of breathtaking visuals and emotional resonance.

Dynamite Cast & Unheard-of Creative Team
Ramayana has a who’s who cast: Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. With this power-packed cast, the movie is bound to redefine Indian mythological cinema.
Adding more glory to the project is that of Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, two legendary composers, who are composing a powerful musical score. Renowned Hollywood stunt masters Terry Notary and Guy Norris will be responsible for the action, providing explosive and emotionally engaging battle scenes.
Diwali Release Set in Two Parts
Namit Malhotra produced the series and Yash co-produced it. Ramayana is supported by Prime Focus Studios, Monster Mind Creations, and VFX studio DNEG, which has won many awards. Ramayana: Part 1 will be released worldwide during Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027. The epic has begun officially.
