Bollywood’s dance queen supreme, Malaika Arora, is set to blaze her way back onto the big screen with Poison Baby, a special dance item in the eagerly-awaited horror-comedy Thamma. Her trademark moves and dazzling on-screen presence have whipped fans into a frenzy, a daring comeback in classic Malaika style.
The initial glimpse of Poison Baby, released on Malaika’s Instagram, immediately made the rounds. Famous for hits such as Chaiyya Chaiyya and Munni Badnaam Hui, Malaika now introduces a supernatural element to her dance heritage, melding glamour with the spooky undertone of Thamma.
The Mumbai launch of the song was an affair attended by all stars, with Malaika and co-star Rashmika Mandanna walking away with the spotlight. Malaika got attention in an ivory co-ord outfit — an adorned full-sleeved crop top paired with a chic high-waisted skirt that accentuated her toned physique. Her loose curls, understated accessories, and a delicate waist chain provided a touch of timeless sophistication.
Rashmika introduced her own touch in a striking black outfit — a bralette-inspired top and a full-length floral-printed skirt and transparent sleeves, completed with a matching stole. The appearance was a balance of tough and old-school, reflecting the offbeat feel of the film.
The twosome set the stage alight, dancing and getting candid, with fans over the moon. Thamma is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and marks the first pairing of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. It includes nawabs Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal in important roles. It’s part of Maddock Films’ successful horror-comedy universe, after Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya.
Scheduled for a big Diwali outing on October 21, 2025, Thamma assured a rollercoaster of fright, laughter, and now, with Poison Baby, a dose of hot glamour that will never be forgotten.
