Love appears to be in full bloom in the Telugu cinema industry, as reliable reports indicate that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are now engaged. The two actors reportedly traded rings in a quiet private ceremony with a gathering of only close friends and family, sources close to M9 News have said. Neither Vijay nor Rashmika has yet publicly announced the news but it has been revealed that the couple intends to get married in February 2026.
Speculation intensified after Rashmika posted a celebratory post on Instagram during Dussehra. She was seen in the picture wearing a traditional saree and sporting a tilak, and fans assumed the photograph was of her engagement ceremony. Her caption stated, “Happy Dussehra my loves… feeling extra grateful because of all the love you’ve been showering on the Thamma trailer and our song… can’t wait to see you all super sooooon during promotions…” The post caused a flood of congratulatory messages from fans believing that the festive greetings were suggesting something more intimate.
This is not the first time Rashmika has dropped hints about her relationship. While promoting Pushpa 2, when questioned if she would get married to someone from the film fraternity, she jokingly answered, “Everyone knows about it,” leaving co-star Allu Arjun and the audience in splits.
Though there have been years of dating gossip and instances of vacation sightings, the couple has always maintained that they want to keep their relationship private.
On the professional front, Rashmika is gearing up for the release of Thamma, a horror-comedy releasing on October 21, 2025, opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal. She has also finished working on Cocktail 2 with Kriti Sanon.
Vijay last appeared in the spy thriller Kingdom (2025), and received appreciation for his performance.
