Singer and actor Rishabh Tandon, better known by his stage name Faqeer, breathed his last on Wednesday, October 22, in Delhi. The 39-year-old artist allegedly died of a heart attack at home during a trip to visit his hometown to celebrate Diwali with his family. His untimely and sudden death left his loved ones, friends, and fans in deep shock and grief.
Rishabh, who was staying in Mumbai with wife Olesya Nedobegova, had gone to Delhi for the festival season. His family is now getting ready for his last rites and has sought privacy in this hour of grief. The sad news was confirmed to India Today by a past team member and also posted by paparazzo Viral Bhayani on Twitter.
Well-known for both his acting and music career, Rishabh had made a niche for himself in the world of entertainment. He was very popular on social media, with well over 500,000 followers on Instagram. His personal life made headlines very often, particularly because he once dated TV actress Sara Khan. A rumor that he married her once circulated when Sara was photographed wearing sindoor, but she later denied it. The two were often seen together for almost three years.
Rishabh later wed Russian citizen Olesya Nedobegova, a line producer he befriended while working on the shoot of a web series in Uzbekistan. They had their start after stumbling into each other on his last day of shoot in the country, something Rishabh had once nostalgically recounted in an interview.
Apart from his artistic ability, Rishabh was also famous for his passion for animals and had close friends in both Delhi and Mumbai. His untimely death during the Diwali celebrations has left his fans with a cloud of gloom, which continues to overflow social media with moving tributes and recollections.
