Security outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra has reportedly been increased following the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff and fresh threats allegedly linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s associate Anil Pandit. Mumbai Police have deployed additional armed personnel outside the actor’s building, while security arrangements around filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence have also been strengthened.
Armed police deployed outside Salman Khan’s residence
According to reports, security outside Salman’s home was intensified on Wednesday, with police personnel carrying machine guns and wearing bulletproof jackets stationed near the building. Officers are closely monitoring suspicious activity, while restrictions have been introduced for people gathering outside the residence.
Fans who usually wait outside to catch a glimpse of the actor are reportedly being asked to maintain their distance. Vehicles are also not being allowed to stop outside the building. Additionally, the window glass at Salman’s residence has reportedly been upgraded as a precaution. Although the actor already receives Y-plus security cover, the latest developments have led to further protective measures.
Was Salman Khan the original target?
Sources cited in the report have claimed that Salman was allegedly the original target of the shooters involved in the Tiger Shroff firing incident.
The shooters reportedly conducted a recce of Salman’s residence but abandoned their alleged plan after finding the security arrangements too tight. They are then said to have monitored Tiger’s social media activity before allegedly targeting him. These claims remain allegations, and the reported sequence of events has not been independently established.
Rohit Shetty and other Bollywood stars under increased security
The security concerns have also reportedly extended to Rohit Shetty, whose Mumbai residence is under increased police surveillance. Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are also said to be receiving protection.
Shah Rukh is currently staying in Pali Hill while renovation work continues at his residence. Aamir has reportedly shifted from Pali Hill to Colaba. The developments follow an alleged threat issued by Anil Pandit, described in reports as a close confidant of Lawrence Bishnoi, targeting film personalities associated with Salman.
Meanwhile, Salman has reportedly left Mumbai for an undisclosed location. Rohit Shetty will host the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20 in his absence. However, Salman has attributed the hosting change to prior commitments rather than the reported security situation.
