Actress Trisha Krishnan attended the Independence Day celebrations at Fort St George in Chennai on Saturday morning, where Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay hoisted the national flag during the official ceremony. Trisha’s presence at the event caught the attention of many people, mainly because of the long running rumours linking her with Vijay.
Several photos and videos from the ceremony have surfaced on social media. In the visuals, Trisha can be seen seated in the front row along with other guests. She was also seated beside Vijay’s father, S A Chandrasekhar. The actress appeared to be in a good mood and was seen smiling and interacting with people around her during the event.
Trisha kept her look simple and traditional for the occasion. She wore a golden saree and chose minimal jewellery and accessories. A gajra in her hair completed her look and added a traditional touch to her appearance.
This was not the first recent public event where Trisha was seen in connection with Vijay. She had also attended his oath taking ceremony earlier. Her appearance at both events has once again led to discussions among fans and social media users. However, neither Trisha nor Vijay has confirmed that they are in a romantic relationship.
The two actors have been linked for several years. Trisha and Vijay have worked together in films such as Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008). Their chemistry in these films was widely noticed, making them one of the popular on screen pairs in Tamil cinema.

The relationship rumours became stronger around 2008, following the release of Kuruvi. The fact that the two actors did not work together again for some time added to the speculation. There were also reports that Vijay’s family had asked him to maintain distance from Trisha.
Despite the rumours, both actors have denied being romantically involved and have said they are “just friends.” Their occasional public appearances together, however, continue to attract attention.
Trisha’s latest appearance at the Independence Day celebrations has once again sparked discussion online, but there is still no official confirmation from either actor regarding the relationship rumours.
