Global K-pop phenomenon BLACKPINK has finally made their highly anticipated comeback to the stage, ending their two-year hiatus. A day before launching their Deadline World Tour, the group released a sudden teaser of what seems to be their comeback track, with fans around the globe going into a frenzy.
“READY TO JUMP” Teaser Leaves Fans Googly-Eyed
On July 4, BLACKPINK shared a 17-second teaser clip on all their official social media accounts. The teaser has energetic beats and ends with all four members—Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé—smiling and getting the fans pumped up with the words, “Are you ready to jump?” Both Korean and English letters of the word “jump” are capitalized, implying that their comeback song might be called “READY TO JUMP.”
The teaser, with hashtags naming “jump,” has gotten BLINKs (BLACKPINK fanbase) abuzz, as this is the group’s first music release since their 2022 album, Born Pink.
Debut Stage at Goyang Stadium Concert
YG Entertainment reports that BLACKPINK’s new song will have its world premiere through their two-day concert at the Main Stadium of the Goyang Sports Complex in South Korea on July 5 and 6.
YG’s Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk revealed that it was not a mistake that the song was premiered at the opening concerts of the tour. “There was much debate over how to release the new song. We ended up deciding that releasing it at the beginning concerts of the tour would be the most meaningful way for us to connect with fans again,” he explained.
With their Deadline World Tour officially in motion and a strong teaser already gaining steam, BLACKPINK’s return is set to be one of the biggest musical events of 2025.
