Spanish pop superstar Enrique Iglesias has landed in controversy after a viral video from his recent Mumbai concert appeared to show him lip-syncing to his hit track Be With You. The clip, which has taken over social media, left many fans disappointed and questioning whether the singer performed live during his much-awaited India comeback.

Enrique performed two sold-out shows at MMRDA Grounds on October 29 and 30, marking his return to India after more than a decade. While his concerts were filled with nostalgia, featuring iconic hits like Bailamos, Escape, and Hero, the viral clip divided fans online. Some expressed frustration, writing comments such as, “Sad to see him lip-syncing,” and “We waited 13 years for this?” Others went as far as calling the performance “a waste,” while a few even criticized the crowd for being “unaware of the lyrics.”

Despite the backlash, attendees described the night as magical and emotional, with thousands singing along to Enrique’s timeless tracks. Several Bollywood celebrities — including Malaika Arora, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Sonal Chauhan, and Pragya Jaiswal — were seen enjoying the concert, grooving to his greatest hits and capturing moments for social media.

Amid the ongoing buzz, reports suggest that Enrique Iglesias will attend Shah Rukh Khan’s pre-birthday dinner at his residence Mannat, ahead of the superstar’s 60th birthday on November 2. The intimate gathering will reportedly include close friends like Karan Johar and Rani Mukerji-Aditya Chopra, with Enrique expected to skip other public appearances to attend.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time an international artist has faced similar criticism in India. In 2017, Justin Bieber was also trolled for allegedly lip-syncing during his Mumbai concert, leaving fans feeling disappointed after paying steep ticket prices.
