Diljit Dosanjh lit up the 53rd International Emmy Awards in New York with his trademark charm, confidence, and striking fashion statements. Although he missed out on the Best Performance by an Actor award—won by Spanish actor Oriol Pla—Diljit remained upbeat and grateful. After the ceremony, he shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos and videos on Instagram, pairing them with the reflective caption, “Kal Ko Kaun Tera Naam Yaad Rakhe Ga,” a line that immediately resonated with fans.
His Instagram carousel opened with a candid photograph of him walking through the streets of New York alongside Amar Singh Chamkila director Imtiaz Ali. The duo appeared deep in conversation before the post transitioned to images of them posing with the Netflix India team at the prestigious event. Diljit’s radiant smile stood out across the pictures, complemented by his sharp fashion choices. In one photo, he sported a grey suit and turtleneck paired with a vibrant red turban; in another, he stunned in a champagne-beige sequin blazer, satin shirt, black trousers, bow tie, and a black turban. The final slide offered a behind-the-scenes moment showing a team member meticulously adjusting his turban before his red carpet appearance.
A video shared by his team added more glimpses of the day. Diljit and Imtiaz were seen strolling casually through the city while team members captured candid moments. At one point, Diljit stopped to greet a fan, warmly clicking selfies and folding his hands in gratitude.
Diljit and Imtiaz were among India’s only nominees at the 2025 International Emmy Awards, held on November 24. Diljit was nominated for his widely praised performance as iconic Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila in the Netflix biographical drama, which was also nominated for Best TV Movie/Mini-Series.
Amid the awards buzz, Diljit continues his global Aura Tour, which began in Kuala Lumpur in September and has already taken him to Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand, with Thailand as his next destination.
