R Madhavan has unveiled the intense first look of his upcoming Netflix series Legacy, teasing a gripping crime drama centred around power, legacy, and betrayal. Sharing the poster on Instagram, Madhavan wrote, “Samraajiyame pattri yeriginra podhu, Kreedathai aniya thunivadhu yaar..? Watch Legacy, coming soon, only on Netflix.”
Directed by Charukesh Sekar and produced by Kalyan Shankar under Stone Bench Pvt Ltd, Legacy also stars Gautham Karthik, Gulshan Devaiah, and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles. The story revolves around a powerful patriarch named Periyavar, who must urgently choose a successor to protect his crumbling empire. As internal rivalries grow and family loyalties are tested, the series promises a deep dive into the emotional and psychological toll of power.
Madhavan, known for his versatility, was last seen in The Test alongside Nayanthara, where he earned praise for his restrained and mature performance. Switching gears, he’s now stepping into comedy with De De Pyaar De 2, the sequel to the 2019 hit romantic comedy.
In De De Pyaar De 2, Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh reprise their roles as Aashish and Ayesha, continuing their journey as a couple navigating an age-gap romance. This time, Aashish faces a new challenge: winning over Ayesha’s skeptical parents, played by R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor. The twist? Aashish is nearly the same age as Ayesha’s father, leading to plenty of awkward yet hilarious moments.
Adding to the chaos is Meezaan Jafri, who enters the picture as a potential match arranged by Ayesha’s family. The trailer also pays homage to Ajay Devgn’s iconic film scenes, including his epic Phool Aur Kaante bike stunt and signature Singham swagger — promising fans a blend of comedy, nostalgia, and heartfelt emotion.
