Prime Video has released the trailer of its upcoming Original series The Pyramid Scheme, a drama based on the risky world of quick money and fake business promises. The series looks at how people are often attracted to easy success, wealth and social status through pyramid schemes that seem profitable at first but later create serious problems in their lives.
Produced by The Viral Fever, The Pyramid Scheme is created by Shreyansh Pandey and directed by Ashish R Shukla and Shreyansh Pandey. The story is written by Akshendra Mishra. The series stars Paramvir Singh Cheema, Ranvir Shorey, Shekhar Suman, Aanjjan Srivastav, Alfia Jafry and Ashish Raghava in lead roles. Actors Akhilendra Mishra, Smita Bansal, Vijay Kumar, Indresh Malik, Ravi Bhel, Sushant Singh, Sonal Jha and Sadanand Patil also play important roles in the series.
The Pyramid Scheme will premiere on Prime Video in Hindi on June 5 across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The trailer introduces viewers to a flashy world where people are promised wealth and success within just six months. The story mainly follows Goldy, played by Paramvir Singh Cheema, and Manoj Srivastava, played by Ranvir Shorey. Both men come from different backgrounds and have different dreams, but they get drawn into a pyramid marketing business that promises fast money, respect and a successful life.
The business convinces people that they can earn huge amounts of money simply by bringing more people into the system. In the beginning, everything appears easy and rewarding. But as Goldy and Manoj rise higher in the business, they slowly realize that the system is unstable and dangerous. The series explores how greed, pressure and ambition can change people’s choices, relationships and lives.
Talking about his role, Paramvir Singh Cheema said, “Goldy is a character completely different from anything I’ve played till now. He hails from Haridwar, the Gateway of Gods and that essence reflects deeply in who he is. Working with TVF made the character feel even more real and authentic. After the incredible experience of working with Prime Video and TVF on Sapne vs Everyone, collaborating with them again on a world and character so different felt truly exciting. I can’t wait for viewers to experience Goldy’s journey when The Pyramid Scheme premieres on Prime Video on June 5.”
