The second season of The Traitors is ready to return with a brand new set of celebrity contestants and another exciting battle of trust, strategy and survival. Hosted by Karan Johar, the reality series will begin streaming on Prime Video from August 13. Following the success of its first season, the new edition brings together 21 contestants from different fields including Bollywood, television, music, digital content, business, food and social media. The show’s format focuses on identifying hidden traitors while contestants work together, form alliances and try to avoid elimination.
This season features several familiar faces from the entertainment industry. The contestant list includes actress Mallika Sherawat, comedian Munawar Faruqui, television actress Shweta Tiwari, actress Rhea Chakraborty, veteran actor Dalip Tahil, actress and entrepreneur Parul Gulati, actress Krystle D’Souza, celebrity chef Ranveer Brar, reality television personality Soundous Moufakir, socialite Shalini Passi and digital creator Abhishek Malhan, popularly known as Fukra Insaan.
The competition also includes rapper Ikka, actor Harman Singha, comedian and content creator Aditya Kulshreshtha, also known as Kullu, private detective Tanya Puri, mentalist Karan Singh, fashion creator Rida Tharana, actor Sahil Salathia, content creator Ansh Chopra, social media personality Shahneel Gill and the youngest contestant, Prish. With contestants coming from different professions, every participant is expected to bring a unique style of gameplay, making the competition difficult to predict.
The series was filmed at the historic Suryagarh Palace, which provides a grand setting for the psychological game. Contestants must work together while constantly questioning each other’s intentions, as hidden traitors quietly try to influence the game from within. Success depends less on physical strength and more on observation, communication and smart decision making.
Several contestants already have experience in reality television. Munawar Faruqui has previously won Lock Upp and Bigg Boss 17, while Shweta Tiwari lifted the trophy in Bigg Boss 4. Others such as Soundous Moufakir, Abhishek Malhan and Rhea Chakraborty have also appeared in competitive reality shows. However, The Traitors offers a completely different challenge where trust can change instantly and every decision could decide who stays in the game. With a diverse cast and a format built around strategy and deception, Season 2 promises another interesting contest when it premieres on August 13.
