Anshula Kapoor, daughter of Boney Kapoor and late Mona Shourie Kapoor, is preparing to marry her fiancé Rohan Thakkar. The couple’s pre wedding celebrations have now begun, and pictures from the event have been widely shared on social media.
Several members of the Kapoor family attended the celebrations. Anshula’s brother Arjun Kapoor and sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were present for the occasion. Other family members including Shanaya Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Mohit Marwah and others also joined the festivities and spent time celebrating with the couple.
For the event, Anshula wore a gold toned lehenga along with a colourful dupatta and statement jewellery. Rohan Thakkar chose a red sherwani for the celebration. Janhvi Kapoor was seen in a pink silk saree paired with a maroon blouse, while Khushi Kapoor wore a blush pink sharara set. Shanaya Kapoor opted for a white ethnic outfit, and Arjun Kapoor attended in a striped red kurta with white pyjamas.
Photos and videos from the celebration show Anshula and Rohan enjoying the occasion with family and friends. The couple was seen dancing and taking part in the festivities. Sharing pictures from the event, Maheep Kapoor wrote, “Shaadi begins #JaiMataDi #Anshula&Rohan.”
Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar got engaged on October 2, 2025. Their engagement ceremony was held at Boney Kapoor’s residence in Bandra. The event was attended by close family members and friends and was kept as a private gathering.
The couple first connected through a dating app in 2022. Their relationship developed over the years, and in July last year, Rohan proposed to Anshula in Central Park, New York.
While announcing her engagement, Anshula shared details about how their relationship started. “We met on an app. Started talking on a random Tuesday at 1:15 AM. We spoke until 6 AM that morning. And somehow, even back then, it felt like the beginning of something that mattered. Three years later, in my favourite city, in front of the castle in Central Park, he proposed! At exactly 1:15 AM India time! And somehow, the world paused just long enough for the moment to feel like magic. Just the quiet kind of love that feels like home,” she wrote.
She further added, “I’ve never been the girl who believed in fairytales, but what @rohanthakkar1511 gave me that day was better because it was intentional. Thoughtful. Real. Us. I said yes. Through ugly tears, shaky laughs, and the kind of happiness I can’t put into words. Because since 2022, it’s always been you. I’m engaged to my best friend!!! My safe place. My person. Favourite boy, favourite city… and now, my favourite YES! (First meal after had to be Shake Shack because our first conversation was around the love of the shroom burger! IYKYK).”
