Justin Baldoni has finally broken his silence following the conclusion of his highly publicized legal battle with Blake Lively, saying he and his family are now choosing healing over continuing the public fight. In a five-minute video shared on Instagram, Baldoni appeared alongside his wife, Emily, marking the couple’s first public comments after nearly two years of remaining largely silent throughout the legal dispute.
“We have not spoken publicly for the better part of the last two years,” Baldoni said, explaining that although they had wanted to address the situation many times, it never felt like the right moment. Now, with the legal proceedings behind them, the couple believes they are ready to move forward.
Without directly naming Lively for most of the video, Emily Baldoni spoke about the emotional toll the past two years have taken on their family. She described the experience as deeply traumatic, saying they struggled to understand how events unfolded while trying to protect their children and each other.
“It doesn’t negate the injustice and the pain that we have also felt,” she said, adding that their focus now is on processing that trauma rather than reliving it.
Justin Baldoni echoed those sentiments, saying there had been “so many painful things” said publicly over the past two years, but the family deliberately chose not to respond while the legal process played out. Instead, they wanted to let the justice system run its course before speaking publicly.
The legal saga began in late 2024 after Blake Lively accused Baldoni of sexual assault and creating a hostile work environment during the production of It Ends With Us. Baldoni denied the allegations, and the dispute evolved into one of Hollywood’s most closely followed legal battles before reaching a settlement in May 2026.
Rather than revisiting the allegations, Baldoni focused on what comes next. He said healing has not been straightforward and admitted it looks different every day. According to the actor-director, the experience has strengthened his faith and reminded him that family, close friends and community matter more than public opinion.
The couple also thanked supporters who stood by them throughout the controversy, saying they appreciated those who trusted their own judgment instead of the constant media noise.
Emily hinted that this would not be the last time they address the subject, saying there will be a time to share more. For now, however, she said their priority is spending time with their children, continuing to heal and simply enjoying life together.
After one of Hollywood’s most divisive legal battles, the Baldonis appear determined to leave the courtroom behind and focus on rebuilding privately rather than continuing the public back-and-forth.
