Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s rare London outing sparks attention over son Akaay

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were spotted in London with a pram believed to belong to son Akaay as the couple continues to keep their children private.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were recently spotted together in London during what appeared to be a quiet family outing. Photos of the actress and former Indian cricket captain have surfaced online, giving fans a rare glimpse of the couple as they spent time together away from the spotlight. Virat and Anushka were photographed on the streets of London on Tuesday morning. Virat kept his look casual in a green sweatshirt and jeans, while Anushka was seen wearing grey leggings, a white T shirt, a jacket and a cap. In one of the pictures, the couple appeared to be speaking with a woman. Virat was seen holding a pram, while Anushka appeared to smile during the conversation. The stroller is believed to belong to their son Akaay, although the toddler was not visible in the photographs.

According to posts shared by fan accounts, the couple were photographed outside Akaay’s day nursery. However, the family has always made a conscious effort to keep their children away from public attention. Anushka and Virat have previously requested photographers and fans to respect their family’s privacy. The latest London sighting comes a few weeks after the couple were photographed together in Delhi. In recent months, they have also visited several spiritual places, including Neem Karoli Baba’s ashram at Kainchi Dham in Nainital and his ashram in Vrindavan.

Anushka and Virat got married in an intimate ceremony in Italy in December 2017. They welcomed their daughter Vamika in 2021 and their son Akaay in 2024. Their connection with London has also been discussed by Dr Sriram Nene, husband of Madhuri Dixit. During a conversation with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Dr Nene recalled meeting Virat and said he had “a lot of respect” for the cricketer, calling him “just a decent human being”. He also recalled speaking with Anushka about the couple’s plans to move to London. According to him, the constant attention surrounding their lives in India made it difficult for them to enjoy their success and have a normal family life. He said they wanted their children to have more privacy and the chance to grow up away from intense public scrutiny.

Meanwhile, Anushka has largely stayed away from the big screen since Zero, which released in 2018. She did complete work on Chakda Xpress, where she plays former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The film was completed in 2022 but still does not have an announced release date. In February this year, director Prosit Roy expressed his disappointment over the film’s situation. “Till today, the handful who saw the film during post keep telling me how much it stayed with them. That’s the real tragedy- it never got to reach everyone it was made for. We gave this film everything we had. Sadly, the system didn’t give it the chance it deserved,” he wrote.
