Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have revealed the name of their second daughter, Devi Padukone Singh, sharing a family photograph on social media. The picture features the couple with their newborn and their elder daughter, Dua, giving fans a glimpse of their family of four.
The actors shared the photograph with the caption, “Of Love & Abundance…🧿 Devi Padukone Singh | देवी पादुकोण सिंह 🧿,” introducing their younger daughter to the world.
Dua welcomes her baby sister Devi
In the photograph, Deepika and Ranveer are dressed in traditional ivory and gold outfits as they hold their newborn daughter. Their elder daughter, Dua, is seen leaning forward to kiss her baby sister, making the family portrait especially touching.
The announcement comes nearly a month after the couple welcomed their second daughter on September 19, 2026. Their first daughter, Dua, was born on September 8, 2024. The couple revealed her name two months after her birth, with Deepika explaining that Dua means “a prayer”. She had described her daughter as the answer to their prayers and expressed gratitude for the love they had received.

Deepika continued working on Raaka during pregnancy
Deepika reportedly continued shooting for her upcoming film Raaka during her pregnancy. According to a Variety India report, the actor remained committed to completing the project on schedule before taking maternity leave.
The report stated that Deepika “has been shooting almost every day for Raaka”. It added that, despite discussions around her advocacy for a structured eight-hour workday, she “remains fully committed to wrapping up her upcoming film, Raaka, on schedule.”
Directed by Atlee, Raaka is a science fiction action film starring Allu Arjun and Deepika. Produced by Sun Pictures, it marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee and reunites Deepika with the director after Jawan.
Ranveer Singh prepares to return to work
Meanwhile, Ranveer is expected to return to the sets of Pralay towards the end of October after taking a break following the birth of his second daughter. Directed by Jai Mehta, the upcoming zombie thriller marks Ranveer’s first film in the genre.
Deepika and Ranveer began dating while working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. They married in November 2018 in an intimate ceremony at Lake Como, Italy.
