A new Star Wars film titled Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu is scheduled to release in India on 22nd May 2026. The film is directed by Jon Favreau and stars Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Jeremy Allen White in important roles. It has been specially filmed for IMAX and will be released only in theatres.
The final trailer of “Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu” was recently shown at CinemaCon, an event held every year in Las Vegas. The trailer gives a basic idea of the story and the world in which the film is set. It shows a time after the fall of the Empire. Even though the Empire has ended, some Imperial warlords are still active in different parts of the galaxy. At the same time, the New Republic is trying to keep peace and protect what the Rebellion had achieved earlier.
The story mainly follows Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal. He is a Mandalorian bounty hunter who takes on different missions. Along with him is Grogu, his young apprentice. Together, they are asked to help deal with the remaining dangers in the galaxy. The film continues the journey of these characters, which many viewers already know from earlier Star Wars stories.
“Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu” is written by Jon Favreau along with Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor. The film is produced by Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. The executive producers include Karen Gilchrist, John Bartnicki, and Carrie Beck.
The music for the film is composed by Ludwig Göransson, who is known for his work in many well known projects. The film is produced by Lucasfilm.
The movie will be released in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It will be available only in theatres starting from 22nd May 2026.
