Katy Perry, Lisa And J Balvin To Perform At Fifa World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremonies

Fifa has revealed the music stars performing at the 2026 World Cup opening ceremonies across the United States, Mexico and Canada.

FIFA has officially announced the list of music artists who will perform during the opening ceremonies of the 2026 Fifa World Cup. The tournament will be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, making it the first World Cup in history to be organised across three countries together.

For the first time, Fifa will also hold separate opening ceremonies in different host nations instead of one single launch event. These celebrations are scheduled to take place on June 11 and June 12 in cities across North America.

The main ceremony in the United States will be held at Los Angeles Stadium on June 12 before the United States plays Paraguay. The programme is expected to begin 90 minutes before kickoff at 4.30pm local time.

Several international music stars have been confirmed for the Los Angeles event. The lineup includes Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA from BLACKPINK, Rema and Tyla. Fifa has also said more artists may be added later.

“This opening ceremony in Los Angeles represents the extraordinary scale of what the Fifa World Cup 2026 will become,” Fifa President Gianni Infantino said in a statement.

“The lineup of artists reflects the cultural diversity of the United States and the vibrancy of its many diasporas, highlighting the nation’s rich influence on music, entertainment and pop culture, while showcasing the power of music to bring people together across the country,” he added.

Mexico City will host the first opening celebration on June 11 before the Mexico versus South Africa match. Artists performing there include Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules and Maná.

In Toronto, the opening ceremony will happen on June 12 before Canada faces Bosnia and Herzegovina. The lineup includes Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé and Nora Fatehi.

The 2026 Fifa World Cup will feature 104 matches across 16 host cities between June 11 and July 19. The opening match will take place in Mexico City, while the final will be held at New York New Jersey Stadium.
