The trailer for The Scandal has given viewers a closer look at the complicated story at the centre of the upcoming period drama. Set during the Joseon era, the series follows Lady Cho, played by Son Ye Jin, Jo Won, played by Ji Chang Wook, and Hee Yeon, portrayed by Nana. Their lives become connected through a challenge that begins as a game but gradually becomes more serious.
The newly released poster shows the three main characters against the backdrop of Bukchon. It also highlights the difference between the strict rules of Joseon society and the personal feelings of the characters. Lady Cho appears confident and in control, while Jo Won’s intense expression suggests that attraction plays an important role in his actions. Hee Yeon is shown in a more reserved manner, reflecting the difficult situation she faces.
The trailer begins with a letter from Lady Cho to Jo Won. It then introduces the unusual challenge between them.
